Lebo currently serves as Executive Director of Global Capital Empowerment (Pty) Ltd and is a director for Bluesky Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd.
Lebo previously worked at McKinsey & Company as a Senior Associate, serving clients in various industries across the African continent, Europe and the United states He has also worked as a Structured Lending Specialist for RMB Private Bank and as a Commercial Proposition Manager for ABSA.
Lebogang holds an MBA degree in Entrepreneurship from the Gordon Institute of Business Science, as well as an honours degree in Finance and an undergraduate Commerce degree from Wits University. He also holds a Chartered Marketer (CMSA) designation through the Marketing Association of South Africa.
David is the Chief Executive Officer of the Global Capital Group. He is also the Chief Financial Officer of Universal Partners. David has more than 19 years of private equity experience. During his career, he has been instrumental in originating, structuring, concluding and exiting private equity transactions in a variety of industries and countries. He represents Universal Partners and Global Capital on the board of the underlying companies both locally and offshore, and assists with the strategic management of the investments.
Following this David joined Global Capital in February 2004; his portfolio consists of a diverse range of private companies in a variety of industries.
David holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa), and is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa).
Joe is the Executive Chairman of aloeCap. He is one of the founder directors of aloeCap. He has more than 25 years investment banking experience. Prior to aloeCap, he was one of the founding partners of Gobodo Inc.; an accounting practice that became SNG Grant Thorton. He led the Management Buy-out of aloeCap from Gobodo Inc in 1999.
Joe was involved in the establishment of the aloeCap BEE Private Equity Fund; and all private equity investments undertaken and structured by the aloeCap Private Equity team. He is a past member of the Securities Regulation Panel (now Takeover Regulation Panel) and the PAAB (IRBA) Education Committee.
He is currently the Chairman of Cell C; and an Independent non-executive Director of Blue Label and Dis-Chem. Joe holds a B. Comm. from the University of Zululand, a B. Compt. Hons/CTA from UNISA; and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (South Africa).
Lwazi is a qualified Chartered Accountant with some 20 years of experience in the investment management and Corporate Finance fields.
Lwazi began his career as an articled clerk with Coopers & Lybrand and upon qualifying as CA in 1994, began his investments career as an Investment Analyst with Syfrets Managed Assets in Cape Town. Whilst at Syfrets, Lwazi worked very closely with the Chief Investment Officer in the management of the country’s first socially responsible unit trust the Community Growth Fund.
His investments career saw him establish Infinity Asset Management. As Managing Director of Infinity, he was responsible for Investment Marketing, as well as Consumer Research in the beverages, retail, and food sectors. Lwazi was responsible for growing assets under management from zero to R4 Billion when the business was sold in 2001, less than four years since establishment.
Lwazi joined Dogon Group Properties to assist with Corporate Governance and is working in conjunction with his wife Sindi, to establish and develop the South African BEE Real Estate Academy.
Larry is the Executive Chairman of Global Capital. He has a long and successful global corporate career. He is a co-founder and former Executive Director of Investec Bank Limited. Larry has been instrumental in the creation and strategic development of a number of listed companies including Capital Alliance Holdings Limited (Capital Alliance Life- acquired by Liberty Life; Capital Alliance Bank – now Brait), Super Group Limited, HCI Limited, SIB Holdings Limited and CorpGro Limited. He also served as past Chairman on the boards of these companies. Previously, Larry sat on the boards of Softline Limited, JCI Limited and Abacus Technologies Holdings Limited.
Larry is a life member of the World Presidents Organisation, Lloyds of London (since 1983) and is an Honorary Colonel in the South African Air force.
Further he has been a former Chairman on a number of non-listed company boards both in South Africa and abroad including Stenham Limited (UK) and Prefsure Life Limited (AUS). Larry is the current Chairman of Universal Partners and Blue Label Telecoms Ltd, Dis-Chem Pharmacies Ltd, National Airways Corporation (Pty) Ltd, the Morecorp Group, Melrose Motor Investments (Pty) Ltd and SellDirect Marketing (Pty) Ltd. He also serves as Deputy Chairman of Cell C (Pty) Ltd.
Doron joined Global Capital in 2016 as Group Financial Manager, where he oversees the finance function for various portfolio companies. Doron also serves as financial manager for Universal Partners Limited, an investment holding company listed on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius and the JSE AltX.
After completing his articles at PKF, Doron was financial manager at The Prepaid Company (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Blue Label Telecoms Limited, a role he held for five years. He was subsequently appointed as Group Financial Manager of DNI and Richmark Holdings, both investment holding companies.
Doron is a Chartered Accountant. He holds a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.
Ori joined Global Capital in March 2016 as an associate. His primary focus is on deal origination, execution and driving growth strategies in portfolio companies. Prior to joining Global Capital, Ori worked for Investec Bank where he completed his articles and subsequently joined the Investec Corporate Finance team, where he was involved in numerous M&A and capital markets transactions.
Ori is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and placed tenth nationally for the final qualifying exam. Ori is a Chartered Accountant. He holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree (with distinction) and a Bachelor of Accounting Science Honours from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.
